The Scope of M.Phil., Mathematics:

M.Phil mathematics or Master of Philosophy in Mathematics is a post graduate mathematics course. Mathematicians seek out patterns and formulate new conjectures and resolve the truth or falsity of conjectures by mathematical proofs. The course is an important and valuable one which provides widespread job opportunities. The students have enjoyed the research aspect, and wanted to continue. After the M.Phil they will look at both post doctorate positions and jobs in industry that use mathematics.
