• Department of Computer Science conducted a guest lecture on 13/03/2020. Mr.Manikanikandan, Kovai kulangal pathukappu iyakkam gave the lecturing about Lake Protection awareness.

• The Department of Computer Science conducted a guest lecture on “Importance of Technology Update in Information Technology” on 24.08.2017 @ 12.45 PM. Mr. M.Vishwanathan,  Process Executive, Person, Tidel Park, Coimbatore. discussed various Importance of Technology Update in Information Technology. He shared the use of new tools and new inventions and changes and the discovery of new evaluations. The purpose of the technology updating tool in IT ect, the session was really useful and enhance the student knowledge. 31 students have participated in this event.

• The Department of Computer Science conducted a guest lecture on “Diagnosing Hardware and software Problem in Network” on 24.08.2017 @ 10.00 AM. Mr. T.Kathiresan, Marketing Executive, Bharathi Airtel-Bharathi Group, Coimbatore. discussed How to diagnose hardware and software problems in the network and the roles of the network administrator. How to update and manage network tools such as CIS, Plotter, and congestion-controlled and Network management tools, etc., Thus it gave enhance the student’s knowledge in the field of computer networks. 31 students have participated in this event.

Workshop:

Department of Computer Science conducted a Workshop on “White Hat Hackers” on March 3, 2020, presented by V Meenakshi Sundaram, National solutions lead – Digital Infrastructure, Hybrid Cloud, and Cyber Security, Coimbatore. He discussed the concept of what is Ethical Hacking and how it is processing and Working. He had told about the technical and Non-technical skills of the Hackers. Then he described the tools of hacking aspects. At least he concluded about how we want to escape from the hackers

The Department of Computer Science has organized the Workshop on “Ethical Hacking” on 31 January 2019. Around 100 members consisting of faculty members, research scholars, and students from various Departments within Rathinam College of Arts and Science attended the workshop. The Workshop provided a forum to discuss and disseminate the recent Development activities in the field of Hacking and cybersecurity. Mr.Velayutham Selvaraj, Director of Twin tech Solutions Professional who acted as chief guest and delivered the inaugural address, and handle the hands-on session.

Google’s Study Jams on Career Readiness hands-on training

• On 31.Jan.2020 Friday, Department of Computer Science Faculty contributors and Students Rathinam College of Arts and Science, Echanari, Coimbatore has attended Google’s Study Jams on Career Readiness hands-on training by in Rathinam Campus. This hands-on education especially organized via GOOGLE for Google Associate Cloud Engineer Track cum Coursera publications certified student community. The foremost motto of the event is to educate Google’s Cloud platform trading operations like Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, Storage & Databases, Networking, API Platforms, and Cloud AI to participants. Google Cloud Computing services had been erudite with the aid of staff contributors and college students Google Cloud Environment via Qwiklabs and hands-on training. They received certifications in Architecting with Google compute Engine, Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals, Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation, Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Core services, Essential Cloud Infrastructure Scaling, and Automation platforms.

Festober News

• Rathinam College of Arts and Science, Echanari, Coimbatore, the Department of Computer Science, and Samarpan the Club of Cultural join up to host the prestigious “Festober-The Technical and Cultural Fest” for intercollegiate Students. Famous Film Actor George Vijay declared the fest open with the lighting of the lamp then was the opening speech by Miss India 2019 Finalist VJ. Kalyani, Mr. Male Model of Coimbatore 2019 Shan MJ, Mr. Glam icon free  Mr. South Indian Photogenic Nikil, Mr. Coimbatore 2019 Pradeep Raja, and the performances opened with a group dance from Raj TV & Sun TV Dancers Mr.Parthiban and Mr.Mani. In media’s acted as media partners to this fest. There were 47 various college Students from Kerala, Chennai, Salem, Trichy, Erode, Tiruppur, and the Gobi have partaken and publicized their talent in a variety of technical and cultural events.

Inter-Collegiate Technical Symposium

• The Department of Computer Science conducted National Level Technical Symposium ‘Tech Clave 20’ on 11 February 2020. Around 1250 45 College students participated in this event from all over Tamilnadu. In this symposium, we conducted two types of events. One is technical events like go google, Debugging, logo Making, techno Quiz, Web designing and another one is cultural Events such as JAM, treasure hunt. The symposium has given the exposure to test the students’ Technical Skills as well as extracurricular skills. Mr.ImranAhamed, Director of Infinite Edge acted as chief guest and delivered the presidential address
• The Department of Computer Science and ICT Academy conducted the Inter-Collegiate Technical Symposium on 25 Sep 2019.   Around 522 from 34 College students participated in this event from all over Tamilnadu. In this symposium, we conducted two types of events. Webinar on Cloud Technology

• The Department of Computer Science has organized the Workshop on “Cloud Technology Platform Monolithic vs  Microservices” on 26 May 2020. Around 500 members consisting of faculty members, research scholars, and students from various colleges attended the workshop. The Workshop provided a forum to discuss and disseminate the recent Development activities in the field of Hacking and cybersecurity.

Power Seminar Program on Employability Skill

• The Department of Computer Science conducted a Power Seminar on “Employability Skill For the Future ” on 09 Feb 2019. Around 100 members consisting of faculty members, research scholars, and students from various Departments within Rathinam College of Arts and Science attended this workshop. The Workshop provided a forum to discuss and disseminate the recent Development activities in the field of Employability Skills. Dr.D.John Franklin, Director of Defrank Group who acted as chief guest and delivered the speech. Ms.Aruna, HR Manager from Payoda tech who gave the speech about “Employability Skill in Future”. Mr.Prashanth Ganesh, Senior Developer from zeta global acted as a guest and gave a speech about employability Skills.

National Communication Skills Challenge 2019

• ICT Academy in association with STEP – The Hindu Group, has launched the “National Communication Skills Challenge 2019”. The challenge is aimed at assessing the English communication skills of college students specific to reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. The challenge makes every participant understand their current language skill levels through STEP PLUS self-diagnostic tests and help them develop their communication enhancement strategy through a personalized report. The top performers at the college level, territory level, state level, and national level will be recognized with prizes and awards. This challenge is exclusive to the ICT Academy Member Institutions across India.

Cloud Literacy Day

• the Department of Computer Science, Rathinam College of Arts & Science, organized an event “Cloud Literacy Day” in association with ICT ACADEMY on 25th January 2020 from 9.00 Am to 4.00 pm. Cloud Literacy Day is intended to induce self-learning and introduce basic cloud technology skills to all students. The program is organized exclusively for all member institutions of ICT Academy across India, where the students learn the modules online through self-instructed videos and exercises and prove their cloud learning skills.

Seminar on Job Opportunities in Medical Transcription

• The department of Computer Science conducted a “Seminar on Job Opportunities in Medical Transcription” on 23.08.2017 @ 11.00 AM. Mr.Ashik, Senior Level Practitioner BPO, Concentrix, Bangalore discussed “Job Opportunities and Carrier growth in Knowledge Processing Outsourcing”. 34 students participated in this event. Mr. Ashik discussed various carrier growth and Job Opportunities in KPO to the computer science stream students in the Information Technology Sector through his session. It helps students to know about various job Opportunities in IT KPO. Thus it gave enhance the student’s knowledge and carrier growth opportunities in KPO.
