We have organized 9 major events like NSE Awareness, ICONS 2019, Interim Budget, Grateful to Guru, Mentoring Meet, FDP on AMOS, and so on, 30 Guest Lectures on management subjects and entrepreneurship like Operation management, Industry Preparedness, Mutual Funds, Entrepreneurship opportunities, etc We have conducted 5 workshops on Gamification – learning Management through games, Six Sigma, GST registration and 3 seminars on Interim budget Insight, Agri-Goods marketing, NABARD, Investor’s Awareness.
The National Level Management Meet was organized by the Department of Management Studies-UG, Rathinam College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore on 26th February 2019 in our Rathinam Auditorium from 10.00 am to 05.00 pm. This event had given a lot of exposure and experience to students by showcase their talents to collaborate their technical knowledge and challenging their skillsets.
Mr.M.A.Senthil Kumar, Head – Human Resources of Altran Technologies (formerly known as Pricol Technologies) and Mr.CA.T.J. Srinivasan Chartered Accountant were the Guests of Honour for the Inaugural Function. Dr.S.Subhshini and Dr.T.Hemalatha given the valedictory address and distributed the cash prize to the winners of the event. This year we had invited all the undergraduate students from Engineering College, Arts colleges from in and around Tamil Nadu, and 100 participants from 11 colleges participated in the events with enthusiasm.

The department has organized a day industrial visit to III-BBA-CA students to Ogan Steels (p) Ltd, Coimbatore on 6th July- 2018. This event was headed by Mr. Narayanasamy P.S, Assistant Professor, BBA-CA. This industrial visit was initiated by 39 students with the objective of gaining practical knowledge on the functioning of the industry.
An industrial visit to Bindhu Engineering Industries, Coimbatore plant was organized for Rathinam College of Arts & Science (BBA STUDENTS) (2018-19) on August 20th, 2018. 28 students participated in the visit. Ms.K.Saranya, Assistant Professors, Department of Management, were accompanied by the students.

We have done many consultancy projects and some have taken to the final stage of the company and a few have initiated and discontinued. We are proud to say that our students have made a considerable income through this activity like, a survey on Brand Awareness, Impact of Gaja cyclone, TN Poverty projects, Social Service survey. Our students have done their internship on forwarding companies like ELGI, ACC, CRI, Aavin, and many more.
Department Achievements: 2017-18
We are proud to present our department activities for the Academic Year 2017-18. The academic department performance is being measured not just by the activities we as Professors but our actual performance is well appreciated in a holistic manner from all around, like students, faculty, research, results in exams, attendance, visiting industries in a view to provide a practical learning environment for the students, and also the overall performance of the department as a whole.
- Faculty Strength and Achievements: The department has two members with a Ph.D. and four were doing their Ph.D. as basic strength that proves the research capacity of the department. We have written six articles in the odd semester and in the even semester by the individual faculty members to show an added value. The faculty have been seriously watched and examined through a series of audits for each faculty member individually and on average, they stood with 85% and 92% in the odd and even semester respectively which is appreciable.
- Student strength and Achievements: Our students have secured 88.00% and 94.5% in the semester by both I and II years respectively, noticing the results performance we can understand that the student attendance has been 87% and 77% by both I and II years respectively. Student intake is 44 out of 60.
