The Department enfolds a cluster of meticulous faculty members who play a vital role in perking up the language ability and literary knowledge of the students. The Department is well equipped to offer different programs. The Department sprouted with BA Literature in the year 2011 and was upgraded with MA literature in 2019. It has a proud tradition of the highest percentage of passes and members of staff strives to motivate the slow learners of English from rural areas. The need-based programs are provided with the academic environment for the enrichment of students to excel in higher education and Job market around the globe. The Department focuses not only on the curriculum but also brings out their creativity, helps them to overcome stage fear, and develop leadership qualities by organizing functions in the Department. The Department of English specializes in English Literature & ELT and aims to provide necessary communication skill development to graduates who in general get placed in different industrial sectors. The department in recent times has launched ambitious &pragmatic communication skill development courses through activity- bases learning and has put in place necessary curricular changes & classroom practices.

B.A. English is a 3-year undergraduate course dealing with the various nuances of English as a language, both written and spoken. It is excellent preparation for careers in teaching, media, and advertising, writing, and publishing.

The program aims to introduce a wide range of Literatures in English. In the primary phase, the Master of Arts course has the aim to offer the opportunity for students to be able to respond and read novels of the large spectrum, play and create poetry with associated genres. At a secondary level, the students will be exposed to wider socio-cultural and political issues in relation to contemporary English. This program in English will be serving as an excellent foundation for students who want to do a very deep study.
The M.A. English course provides a strong background in the study of English. This particular program stresses:

- Written and oral communication skills
- Critical thinking
Through a rigorous curriculum of literature, composition, language and linguistics, and communication studies. Students interested in creative writing may choose this profession.
